CA Council of Administrators of Special Education (CA CASE)


The California Council of Administrators of Special Education (CA CASE) is pleased to announce the election of Shaen Hosie as President Elect and Dr. William Gee as Secretary.  They will take office effective July 1, 2016.  Hosie will serve as President Elect through June 30, 2018, and then will assume the office of CA CASE President.  Dr. Gee will serve as Secretary through June 30, 2018.

Shaen Hosie has been the Director of Special Education and Student Services for the Union Hill School District in Grass Valley, California.  Prior to this position she was a Resource Specialist for the Loomis Union School District, building a collaborative approach to the delivery of special education services to include full inclusion and co-teaching. On July 20, 2016, she will assume the position of Coordinator of Special Education for the Twin Rivers Unified School District in Sacramento.   She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco and both a Master of Arts and Administrative Services credential from California State University, Sacramento.   In 2014 Ms. Hosie was selected as the Aspiring Administrator of the year for region 3 of the Administrators of California School Administrators (ACSA).  Her goal for CA CASE is to facilitate the creation of professional and resource development of special education administrators in California.

Dr. William Gee

Dr. William Gee

Dr. William Gee is a former general education teacher, school psychologist, special education teacher, and program specialist.  He has worked in public schools for most of his career but also worked as an educational psychologist in private practice, and also a consultant with Head Start.  Most of his career, however, has been as a special education administrator.    He has worked in public schools in Minnesota, Arizona, and California.  During the past 25 years in California he has been employed in an Orange County unified district, in the Los Angeles County Office of Education, and is currently a special education administrator in the ABC Unified School District. Married with two adult children, Dr. Gee has been a member of the Council for Exceptional Children since 1993 and currently serves as Secretary for Orange County CEC Chapter #188.
