Susan Jennings, M.Sp.Ed.
Susan Jennings is an Education Specialist Teacher in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District in Southern California where she co-teaches and teaches basic classes with students in the 7th and 8th grades. She was previously a Resource Specialist Teacher in the Magnolia School District in Anaheim, working with students in K-6, and in Northern California with the San Juan Unified School District, where she worked with students in grades K-8. She was also a Special Education Reading Teacher with the San
Juan Unified School District, working with 6th-8th grade students. Susan works with a diverse group of students, including students with specific learning disabilities, autism, other health impairments, emotional disturbance, students who are hard of hearing, and English language learners.
She has served her school communities by being on the Site Leadership Team, SST Team, PBIS Team, and a member of the School Site Council. Susan has also served as a Clinical Supervisor for a Master of Science Special Education student during the practicum assignment.
Susan received her Master of Arts in Special Education in 2011, in addition to her Education Specialist Instruction Credential and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2007, from Chapman University in California. She earned her added authorization in Autism in 2011. Susan serves as the Membership Chair for California Council for Exceptional Children, and she is also a member of the national Division for Learning Disabilities.
