CACEC Request for Proposals
The California CEC Executive Board invites educators, researchers, and practitioners to submit proposals for presentations at the Spring 2026 Building Better Together Conference.
We strongly encourage collaborative proposals involving:
- PK–12 teachers
- University faculty
- Paraeducators
Priority Presentation Topics
- Literacy and language development for students with disabilities
- Including early identification and dyslexia support (CA Ed Code §53008)
- Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) in special education
- Addressing misconceptions and misinformation in special education
- Empowering and supporting paraeducators
- Promoting Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) and inclusive practices
Submission Details
- Conference format: In-person
- Presentation date: February 25, 2026
- Location: Embassy Suites, Burlingame, CA
Important Notes:
- Submissions cannot be edited after the Google Form close
- Presenters should draft responses in a separate document before submitting
